Ricky-Lee Cooke

I was born, raised and went to school in Mansfield Woodhouse. I’m proud of our village, our community spirit and our heritage.

My first job was working behind the bar in the White Swan on Swan Lane, but I eventually ended up working in adult social care. I’ve been able to gain experience in a number of fields including; mental health, homelessness, learning disability and substance abuse. I hope to use my experience to improve the services provided by Mansfield District Council, ensuring that they’re accessible to all and that the right support is in place to prevent homelessness and stop drugs ruining lives in our district.

I’m standing for election because I’m passionate about Mansfield and I believe that our town has so much potential to become an even better place to live, learn and work. Our town has been let down by the Labour Party and Mansfield Independent Forum for too long and the election of Ben Bradley in 2017 has shown how a vote for change can really make a positive difference.
