Just to let everyone know that, because the Conservative Party is playing no active part in the Referendum Campaign, we'll be keeping quiet on our website about the issue over the coming weeks.
As we move in to a new year it's important to recognise the hard work that has been done by this Conservative Government, as well as the challenges still ahead. We're delivering on our promises:
Tony Harper, 56, was born and bred in Hucknall and began his policing career in 1975 as a cadet, rising to acting chief inspector over the next 35 years. The father of two was selected by Conservative Party members following a Hustings at Epperstone Village Hall.
Whilst we didn't manage to elect our representatives this time, we saw a positive swing to the Conservatives in both Ashfield and Mansfield General Election results which is really good news for the future.
Thank you to everyone who voted Conservative for your support.
During last nights EGM it was agreed that both the Mansfield and Ashfield Conservative association's would cease to exsist and would merge to become the Mansfield and Ashfield Conservative Federation. During the Meeting it was also agreed that Giovanni Loperfido would become the new Chairman of the federation and Paul Saxelby would become the Deputy Chairman (Political). We are activly seeking members to become excutive officers so if you would like to be involved in the Federation please send me an email on giovanniloperfido@live.co.uk
